The Company completed a comprehensive airborne TEMPESTTM electromagnetic surveys with a base frequency of 25Hz over 2,702 line kilometers at 200m line spacings in an E-W direction at 90 degrees, with a minimum line length of 8km and a height of 120m.
No modern remote sensing tools such as thermal imaging and airborne TEMPESTTM electromagnetic surveys have been applied to the project and the work program delineated an extensive palaeochannel system covering approximately 700km2. The survey and subsequent data processing defines a number of key targets which are comparable to various well known uranium deposit models such as Mulga Rock, Manyingee and Honeymoon.
A first phase drilling program was organised at one of the key targets within Heartbreak, comprising a total of 3,000m with 60 holes at 500 meter spacings, with the aim of confirming the conceptual uranium mineralisation process at the upper contact of lignite and sandy horizons, from which time a more detailed geological model will be compiled targeting interpreted ore grade zones.
